The public in Somali State to hold welcoming event for Ethiopian troops who returned home after meeting a mission in Somalia, the state’s culture and information bureau said.

Bureau head, Ahmed Hussein, who is also chairman of event organizing committee, told ENA on Wednesday that the public in the state have taken the initiative to hold the event.

The public have begun hoisting the national and regional flags on the premises of residential houses, shops, and squares.

As part of the event, members of the gallant defense force who took part in the mission in Somalia will be awarded, he said, a monument will also be erected for to commemorate the mission.
